• Prepare a Gentle Cleaning Solution
  Mix cool or lukewarm water with a few drops of mild detergent (like Woolite, baby shampoo, or a satin-safe cleaner).
  Avoid bleach or strong soaps — they can damage the fibers or cause shine loss in satin.
  
• Spot Clean First (Recommended for Both Fabrics)
  Dip a soft microfiber cloth or clean makeup sponge into the solution.
  Gently dab stained areas — never rub aggressively, especially with satin, as it can snag or dull.
  For deeper dirt (especially on acrylic), use a with light, circular motions.
  
• Avoid Soaking Satin
  Never fully submerge satin. Moisture can cause water spots or warp the sheen.
  For acrylic, spot-cleaning is preferred, but if needed, a brief soak (10 minutes max) is acceptable
  
• Rinse Gently
  Use a clean damp cloth to blot away any soap residue.
  Don’t rinse under a running tap — satin in particular can wrinkle or water-stain easily.
  
• Reshape and Dry Carefully
  Stuff the hat with a clean towel or use a hat shaper to preserve its form.
  Lay flat to air dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat.
  Do not wring or twist the hat — this can distort satin’s surface or stretch acrylic.
  
• Finishing Touch (Optional)
  For satin, after fully dry, you may steam very lightly (from a distance) to remove minor wrinkles — never iron directly.
  For acrylic, a light lint roller or fabric brush keeps it looking fresh.
